  The Art of Editing Reflection 11-18-2020     What is meant by the phrase “art of editing? The art of editing is just a way to create transitions from one moment to the next to be able to tell a story. These transitions can, "be the foundation of a film's pace, its atmosphere, and it can even be the enriching ingredient to strengthen all the film's themes." The editing in a movie can come in multiple different styles which, depending on the scene, would give the feeling that the editors want the audience to feel. How does editing contribute to storytelling? Editing contributes to storytelling by being the transition and placement of cuts in a certain order to create smooth motion. In the video, it states that "editing became a lot like music, a misplaced phrase, an out-of-sequence shot, and the entire symphony fall apart." Topic: The Dark Knight Political Ideologies Reflection

  What does the political ideologies of your given symbol say about the current political system of America? Use S.E.E to respond to the discussion. Please note we will be meeting on Wednesday to discuss more.  The political ideologies that my given symbol shows are that the people decide who they want to lead and protect them. The U.S. political system lets its people settle the type of leader they want to govern them- and it's most likely a person with a face and a righteous moral. The image shows Harvey Dent holding a badge that says "I believe in Harvey Dent" it shows that he is one of the candidates for some sort of upcoming election, and compared to the other symbols, he is the only one showing his face.

Blog Post # 1: Ideas and Treatment

  Why did you select this idea for the video intro? What are some similar references you've used that helped you influence your idea? Include links to those references .  I selected this idea because I like the idea of making the audience show as much emotion as possible. I selected this idea because I was inspired by the game Five Nights at Freddy's 4 and the show Stranger Things . My film borrowed the idea of a haunted hallway like in the Plushtrap hallway part of the game. And will use the idea of a supernatural dimension like in stranger things. It is also inspired by a webtoon called Freaking Romance , there is a crack in dimensions making it able to view creatures on the other side of the invisible crack.
